The information below is provided for the benefit of those who are working through the exercises in the book. The passwords for the files are the first two words, in capital letters and with no spaces, of the first paragraph that describes each exercise. For example, on page 49 of the book you will find that the password for exercise 1 is THEREREALLY. The other exercises follow the same pattern with their respective first paragraphs.

This is an exercise that introduces the reader to XHTML.

This exercise teaches the reader the proper way to convert a printed document into XHTML.

This exercise introduces the reader to lists.

This exercise introduces the reader to tables.

This exercise introduces the reader to the concept of a website.

This exercise shows the reader how to design for the presentation of the content.

This exercise shows the reader how to review the design with the stake holders.
Exercise8.zip
This exercise puts it all together can produces a functioning website that is available to the world. The password for this file contains a word, number and another word, but is found in the expected spot in the book.

Note: Because of copyright issues with "free" software, the IEmarginFix.js file is not included with these distributions. See the book for information on where to get this file.

Note: The list above is an example of a definition list.

These files are provided for the benefit of the reader, but as is stated in the book, the reader should first type the code in the exercises rather than copy the code from here. Typing the code will help to cement the XHTML syntax into the reader’s mind.
